The two originally met as characters on the LambdaMOO, an interactive, text-based virtual space physically located within a Palo Alto computer. It turned out that their online characters, vol and Biz, liked each other enough to get together, and Sean and Andria complied."We had dinner -- I talked too much -- saw a movie at the Angelika and had sorbet and espresso to finish the evening," Sean says. "Love at first sight? Not quite. But by the sorbet, I had shut up long enough to realize I was embarking on something significant." They are in love and will trade wedding vows this July, two years to the day from when they first met -- in the real world. | |
